ToggleOn Saturday (22nd August) morning, Mohammad Nabi again became a hero for St Lucia Zouks as they claimed their second victory in the CPL 2020 after beating St Kitts and Nevis Patriots by ten runs. It was the third straight defeat for Patriots in the CPL 2020, who are still waiting for their first victory in this season.
After winning the toss, St Kitts and Nevis Patriots captain Rayad Emrit decided to field first. While St Lucia Zouks scored 172/6 (20 overs) in the first innings, Patriots were restricted to 162/8 (20 overs).

St Kitts and Nevis Patriots innings: Patriots hadn’t any positive partnership
Chasing down the challenging target, Patriots were losing their wickets at regular intervals. While openers Chris Lynn and Evin Lewis scored 14 and 29 runs respectively, wicket-keeper batsman Denesh Ramdin scored 46 runs, but other batsmen till no.7 position failed to reach the double-digit scores.

Later, captain Rayad Emrit scored 10 runs. At the end, when Patriots were getting ready to suffer a big defeat, Sheldon Cottrell played a great fighting cameo as he scored 26 not out off just 11 balls (only four and 3 sixes), but his team finished just 10 runs away from Zouks’ first innings total.
Their best partnership in that innings was 33 runs for the unbroken ninth wicket between Ish Sodhi and Cottrell.
Among the Zouks bowler, while Scott Kuggeleijn (4/33) bagged four wickets, off-spinner Roston Chase (3/12) picked up three wickets in that innings. Also, Mohammad Nabi (1/17) got one wicket in that innings.

After the opener Rahkeem Cornwall (4*) was retired hurt in the third over of that innings due to feeling unwell, another opener Andre Fletcher and Mark Dayal set up the quick-fire 56 runs partnership for the first wicket. But once that partnership was broken as Dayal lost his wicket on 30 runs off 17 balls (3 sixes), Zouks were losing their wickets at regular intervals.
Wicket-keeper batsman and opener Fletcher scored 46 runs off 33 balls (6 fours and only six) before losing his wicket in 12th over.

Also, among the middle-order batsmen, Najibullah Zadran scored 28 runs while Mohammad Nabi scored 35 not out off 22 balls (only four and 3 sixes). Later, Cornwall also returned with the bat and scored 16 runs before he was run out. For the unbroken seventh wicket, Nabi put 35 runs partnership with Saad Bin Zafar (1 not out), where Nabi totally dominated with his bat.
In that innings, Sohail Tanvir (2/41) and Jon-Russ Jaggesar (2/29) scalped two wickets each. Also, captain Rayad Emrit (1/14) took one wicket.
