Pakistan cricketer Shoaib Malik is one of the greatest all-rounders of his nation. Malik started his international career as an off-spinner in October 1999 (against West Indies at Sharjah ODI on 14th October 1999). On his debut ODI innings, Malik scored a golden duck at the no.10 batting position.

However, later, when he started to show some solid character with the bat, he was promoted to the batting order which ultimately played an effective role in his international career. Soon, Malik not only became a great all-rounder, but he also gave more importance to his batting than bowling.

While Malik is still active in the T20I cricket, he has played 435 international matches (35 Tests, 287 ODIs and 113 T20Is) where he has scored 11753 runs and also taken 218 wickets. Malik is currently the most-capped T20I player. He also led the Pakistan team in 64 international matches (three Tests, 41 ODIs and 20 T20Is).
