The legendary Australian batsman Allan Border was the first captain to lead a Test team in 90 matches. From 1984 to 1994, Border led the Australian team in 93 matches (currently the second most-capped captain in Test cricket history). During his long Test captaincy period, Australia won 32 matches, lost 22 games, drew 38 matches and the other one had the tie result. Test captain Border had the success rate of 34.40%.

During his Test career, when Border led the Australian team, he had no break as he captained the Australian team in 93 consecutive Tests between December 1984 and March 1994.
