Mahela Jayawardene (Sri Lanka) – 5 World Cups (1999-2015)

Another Sri Lankan cricketer Mahela Jayawardene also featured in the five ICC Cricket World Cups from 1999 to 2015. While he was in the team during Sri Lanka’s finishing as the runners-up in the 2007 and 2011 editions, he was also the captain during the 2007 edition.
The right-handed batsman Jayawardene scored 1100 runs in 40 matches (34 innings) of the ICC Cricket World Cup history with an average of 35.48. In CWC history, Jayawardene hit four centuries and five half-centuries. His best CWC knock was 115 not out against New Zealand in the semi-final of the 2007 edition. He also hit a century in the 2011 final (103 not out against India at Mumbai on 2nd April 2011).
