The legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar also featured in six different Cricket World Cups – in 1992, 1996, 1999, 2003, 2007 and 2011. He was a crucial member of the Indian team during their finishing as the runners-up in the 2003 edition and champions in the 2011 edition.

As his international career, Tendulkar was also highly successful in the Cricket World Cup history. The right-handed batsman is the only cricketer to score 2000+ runs in CWC history as he scored 2278 runs in 45 matches with an average of 56.95.

In the CWC, Tendulkar smashed six centuries and 15 half-centuries. His best CWC performance was against Namibia in the Group Stage of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2003, where Tendulkar scored 152 runs off 151 balls.

Tendulkar finished as the most run-scorer in the 1996 and 2003 editions, and he was also the second most run-scorer during India’s successful journey in the 2011 edition. He also won the Player of the Tournament award in the 2003 edition.
