Another player who unfortunately missed out on representing the nation in two different sports on big occasions. The man who set the fielding standards so high was also a professional hockey player. He was, in fact, selected to play for the national hockey team in the Barcelona Olympics in 1992, but unfortunately, South Africa failed to qualify.
