Jesse Ryder

At one stage, the all-rounder Jesse Ryder was one of the most important members in the New Zealand national cricket team. But his indiscipline lifestyle led him to end his international cricket journey at the very early age, and his major issue was poor drinking habit.
During his international career, Ryder faced multiple charges for his behaviour, and most of the time, the major reason was alcohol. But due to his very good form during New Zealand’s struggling period, New Zealand Cricket (NZC) CEO Justin Vaughan became ready to help the cricketer to recover from his drinking problem.
In March 2013, Ryder involved in a massive life-threatening incident which changed his entire life, at least as a cricketer. He was reportedly attacked outside the Aikman’s Bar in Merivale (Christchurch) which fractured his skull and his lung was also collapsed. Later, it was reported that Ryder had no skull fracture. However, he spent around 56 hours in a coma before starting to recover.
Though Ryder made his international comeback in December 2013 and impressed in a few early matches, that journey didn’t last long.
