Former Australian cricketer Andrew Symonds was known as one of the greatest all-rounders in the cricket world. However, his poor drinking habit and indiscipline lifestyle always became a strong barrier to his cricket career.

During his long international career (1998-2009), Symonds faced many controversies, majorly due to his behavioural issues. The all-rounder even also faced some punishments due to his misbehaviours. During Australia India tour in late 2008, Symonds was reportedly involved in a pub brawl.

In June 2009, just before the beginning of ICC World T20 2009 in England, Symonds was sent back to home due to his involvement in another alcohol-related incident. Since then, he never earned the call-back from the national side. Later, Symonds claimed that he wasn’t alcoholic but a binge-drinker who could go out and drink hard all in one hit.

Apart from being an aggressive middle-order batsman and useful bowler, Symonds was more famous for his exceptional fielding skills.
