Pakistan limited-overs captain Babar Azam is now evolving as one of the most consistent performers in international cricket. Moreover, the 25-year-old has maintained his consistency in every format.
In the T20I career, Babar has scored 1471 runs in 38 matches (average 50.72; strike-rate 128.13), including 13 fifties along with the best score of 97 not out. The present no.1-ranked T20I batsman Babar is also holding the record of completing fastest 1000 T20I runs (26 innings).
On the other hand, Babar has hit three T20 centuries along with 38 T20 fifties as the right-handed batsman has scored 4861 runs in 142 T20s (average 43.01; strike-rate 125.31).
Despite these outstanding career stats, Babar has currently no chance to feature in the IPL as the Pakistan cricketers have been banned from the IPL from 2009 due to the rising political tensions between two countries. His presence in the future IPL will be only possible if the ban gets removed, which is highly unlikely happening soon.
