Former Bangladesh left-arm pacer Bikash Ranjan Das is now known as Mahmudur Rahman Rana. He was one of the players who featured in the playing XI during Bangladesh’s first-ever Test match (against India at Dhaka in November 2000). It was his only international cricket match while he last time played a recognised cricket match in January 2004.

Rana changed his name after converting from Hinduism to Islam religion. He featured as Bikash Ranjan Das during his only Test where he managed to pick up the only wicket of the Indian opener Sadagoppan Ramesh in the second innings of that game.

According to ESPNcricinfo, in his late professional career, Rana played as a left-arm spinner but it didn’t work for him anyway.
