Sri Lankan cricketer Suraj Randiv was formerly known as Mohamed Marshuk Mohamed Suraj. Initially, since his birth, he practised Islam. Later, in 2010, he changed his religion to Buddhism.

Randiv is still an active cricketer in domestic cricket. After making his international debut in 2009, he has played 12 Tests, 31 ODIs and seven T20Is where the off-spinner has taken 43, 36 and seven wickets respectively. In domestic cricket, more specifically in the first-class cricket, Randiv also impressed with his batting who has scored 3838 runs in 149 matches, including four centuries and 13 half-centuries.

Randiv last time played an international match during the Birmingham ODI against England on 24th June 2016.
