Tillakaratne Dilshan

Former Sri Lankan cricketer Tillakaratne Dilshan was one of the greatest all-rounders of his country. He was formerly known as Tuwan Mohammad Dilshan before converting from Islam to Buddhism at the age of 16-year-old after his parents’ separation.
Dilshan served for Sri Lanka national cricket team between 1999 and 2016. He played 87 Tests, 330 ODIs and 80 T20Is where the right-handed batsman managed to score 5492 runs, 10290 runs and 1889 runs respectively. As an off-spinner, Dilshan also picked up 39, 106 and nine wickets respectively. He was a member during Sri Lanka’s victory in the ICC World T20 2014. Also, he finished as the leading run-scorer in the ICC World T20 2009 (317 runs) and ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 (500 runs).
