The renowned cricket commentator Aakash Chopra has heaped praise on Shane Watson’s innings against Kings XI Punjab, stating that he is a stock that yields dividends every year.

The ventage Shane Watson was seen back in Dubai after he struggled in the first four matches. His position in the playing XI was also questioned. But Watson bounced back strong against KXIP on Monday. The former Aussie cricketer amassed unbeaten 83 runs off 53 balls and stitched 181 runs partnership with the Faf du Plessis to seal the win for the team by 10 wickets.

While speaking on his YouTube channel, Aakash Chopra stated that he could not believe that after losing games in the row, CSK won the game by 10 wickets. He lauded Shane Watson and Faf du Plessis fabulous innings while also said that the match was one-sided.

“Shane Watson along with Faf du Plessis and they won the match single-handedly. What was this, till now they were going on losing and when they have won, they did so with 10 wickets. This was the most one-sided game in the tournament thus far. Watson showed his magic and Faf du Plessis was absolutely fantabulous,” Aakash Chopra added.

“The way in which he kept on playing his shots and after that, you could see the hunger. He is a stock which keeps giving you dividend every year. He had not given it till now this year but came good today, ” he added.
