Dean Jones Praises Rohit Sharma And David Warner
Both Rohit Sharma and David Warner are playing outstanding cricket at present in every format. They were the top two run-scorer in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 as Rohit (648 runs) was just one run ahead from Warner (647 runs).
Since that CWC 2019, Rohit Sharma and David Warner have mostly maintained their brilliant forms in the other formats. Both Rohit and Warner have performed unstoppably in recent times.
The right-handed batsman Rohit Sharma was the most ODI run-scorer and second-most run-scorer in international cricket in last year (2019). Meanwhile, in that same period, the left-handed batsman David Warner was the most international run-scorer for Australia and sixth most overall run-scorer in international cricket, despite missing the entire first five months of that year. While Rohit is currently the second-ranked ODI batsman, Warner is the present fifth-ranked Test batsman and seventh-ranked ODI batsman.
Rohit Sharma and David Warner are good at both sides of the ground – Dean Jones
Dean Jones has recently explained why these two batsmen are currently in this superior batting form. He has pointed out that both Rohit and Warner are good in both sides of the field. So, the oppositions can’t put enough pressure on them by blocking only one side. Apart from their physical fitness, Jones also feels that they are also mentally fit.
The former Aussie cricketer recently said in a TV show, “Rohit Sharma and David Warner are good at both sides of the ground. If you shut one side of the ground, they will find a way to get runs on the other side of the ground.
“These guys are not only physically fit, but mentally fit as well and they have a vivacious appetite for runs and I want to see who wins this battle.”
Both India and Australia are getting ready for the three-match ODI series in India that will run between 14th and 19th January 2020. Both the cricketers, Rohit Sharma and David Warner, are very crucial for their respective national sides.
Dean Jones spoke why the team liked to have bowlers that bowl at a 140
Dean Jones has also talked about the advantage of bowling above 140 kmph in present days. As it is very fast delivery, the batsmen don’t get enough time to handle it, which lead them to make a mistake.
Jones claimed, “That’s the thing with bowlers with a rate of 140 plus, when they bowl above 140 and you make a mistake, you don’t have a time – you get bowled out or LBW and that is why the team likes to have bowlers that bowl at a 140.”
