Bollywood mega actress Deepika Padukone has revealed her favorite cricketer. Padukone stated that former Indian captain Rahul Dravid is her favorite player. Dravid is loved all over the world as he always played the game in the right spirit. Padukone came on the pre-match show on Star Sports to promote her latest film ‘Chappaak’. The movie is based on the real incidents of the life of Laxmi Agarwal, an acid attack survivor. The movie will hit the cinema halls on 10th January 2020.
Subsequently, Deepika Padukone revealed her favorite cricketer while talking to Star Sports presenter Mayanti Langer. Meanwhile, Rahul Dravid is currently the director of the National Cricket Academy.
Dravid is one of the most respected players.
“My all-time favourite cricketer is Rahul Dravid. A lot of my idols are not what they have done in the sport and the game, but how they have conducted themselves outside. For me, he is somebody I have admired and looked up to, and he is from Bangalore,” she said.
Dravid has done a fine job for Under-19 and India A teams as the head coach. The former skipper has helped in blossoming the new crop of young players and he has been instrumental in getting the best out of the youngsters.
Meanwhile, India posted a mammoth score of 240 runs after they were put in to bat by West Indies skipper Kieron Pollard. Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul provided a fine start to the team as both of them added an opening alliance of 135 runs. The Indian vice-captain scored a blistering knock of 71 runs off just 34 balls with the help of six fours and five sixes.
On the other hand, Rahul scored a fine knock of 91 runs off just 55 balls with the help of nine fours and four sixes. Furthermore, Virat Kohli was also able to get off the blocks in a jiffy as he got almost everything in the middle of the bat.
Kohli completed his fifty off just 21 balls as he continued his sublime form going. The Indian captain scored 29-ball 70 to add the finishing touches. The talisman scored four fours and seven sixes in his blistering knock.
