Jaydev Unadkat

In IPL 2017, the left-arm pacer Jaydev Unadkat tightly fought for the Purple Cap but finally, finished as the second most wicket-taker in that tournament. Playing for now-defunct Rising Pune Supergiant (RPS) in IPL 2019, Unadkat bagged 24 wickets in 12 matches. That impressive performance was the main reason why the Rajasthan Royals (RR) bought him in the last two seasons with the high prices. But he failed to deliver the same performances in IPL 2018 and 2019. So, like the last year, RR management has once again decided to release him ahead of the auction.
Meanwhile, Delhi Capitals have already traded out the New Zealand left-arm pacer Trent Boult. While they have no left-arm pacer at present, Jaydev Unadkat can be one of their top choices. Moreover, in the last auction, the Delhi franchise showed good interest in Unadkat as they started his bid and continued till INR 4.60 crore. However, later they gave up and Rajasthan Royals re-purchased him for INR 8.40 crore.
Jaydev Unadkat has played 73 IPL matches where he has taken 77 wickets. He has already played in five different IPL teams, including in Delhi Daredevils from 2014-2015.
