Chris Morris

South African bowling all-rounder Chris Morris has good experience in IPL. Since 2013, he has played 61 IPL matches where the right-arm pacer has taken 69 wickets.
Chris Morris was playing for the Delhi franchise since 2016. Last season (IPL 2019) was probably his best season in IPL career with the ball as he took 13 wickets in nine games and finished as the joint second most wicket-taker for his team Delhi Capitals in that season. However, the Delhi franchise released him ahead of the upcoming auction. But the franchise still can buy him even more profitable way for both sides.
Chris Morris was the second retained player for the Delhi franchise ahead of the 2018 IPL players’ auction. Though his actual salary was INR 7.1 crore in this period, the Delhi franchise had to deduct INR 11 crore from their purse due to choosing him as the second retained player ahead of the 2018 IPL players’ auction.
So, even if Delhi Capitals buy Chris Morris with the higher price of INR 7.1 crore in the upcoming auction, they still can save more money than before. This can provide a good option for Delhi Capitals to go for a big bid to bring back Morris.
