Team India off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin looks doubtful for the fourth of the five-match Test series against England at Southampton.
Meanwhile, India is brimming with confidence after the 2-3-run win at Trent Bridge. They finally hit the training session in a bid to level the series at the Ageas Bowl.
However, their preparation is set to be hit by the speculation over their spin spearhead Ashwin‘s fitness. The off-spinner is doubtful for the upcoming game due to a groin injury. He is currently nursing his injury and is in against time to regain fitness for the next game.

Ravichandran Ashwin was not entirely fit either for India’s third Test against England. However, the management decided to go on with him only to aggravate the injury. Ashwin struggled throughout the game and picked up only one wicket which fell on the last day of the Test. Furthermore, he bowled just one over in England’s first innings.
Meanwhile, the latest reports are not encouraging either for team India. According to TOI, Ashwin did not bowl a single delivery in the nets on Monday. He also did not participate in the fielding drill.
On the other hand, Ravindra Jadeja, who is yet to get a game in the series, bowled his heart out. Ravichandran Ashwin was reportedly standing with team physio Patrick Farhat and trainer Shankar Basu.

But despite the injury, the team wants to take a late call on their premier off-spinners. However, Ashwin batted in the nets which proves that he is still in the contention for the game.
The fourth Test between England and India commences on August 30 (Thursday) at the Ageas Bowl.
