Wriddhiman Saha’s outstanding performance in the second Test match as a wicketkeeper has placed the position of Rishabh Pant in doubt. Rishabh Pant became famous after his amazing performance in the early Test career where he scored a century against the hosts England in his first Test series.
Another good performance of him was in Australia where he scored another good century. Pant gave satisfactory performance in domestic cricket and also for Delhi Capitals (DC) in Indian Premier League (IPL). Everyone praised the player’s performance and his fandom increased.

In the ICC World Cup 2019, he was not good with bat and proved expensive in the ground. He got out because of his wrong selection of shots. In August, during the West Indies tour, the player was not much impressive. The fans started criticising the player’s game.
Pant was then given chance in the T20I series against South Africa where the player was under pressure and had degrading performance. Because of which, he lost his place in playing XI against South Africa in the Test match. Wriddhiman Saha replaced Pant in the final XI in the first and second Test match.
Wriddhiman Saha has grabbed the opportunity with both the hands. He didn’t miss to impress everyone with his performance. Skipper Virat Kohli and bowlers are in full praise for the 34-year-old wicketkeeper-batsman. He picked unbelievable catches on the ball of Ravichandran Ashwin and Umesh Yadav.
