Ron Headley played international cricket for West Indies while Dean Headley played international cricket for England. Ron Headley is the son of former famous West Indian batsman George Headley (The black Bradman). However, Ron Headley had played for West Indies only 2 Tests and 1 ODIs in 1973 but he had a long career in the domestic cricket. The left-handed opening batsman who had played 423 first-class matches along with 162 List A matches from 1958 to 1976.

On the other hand, Ron’s son Dean Headley played for England in the international career as well as he played regular county cricket. Dean was the 3rd generation international cricketer of Headley family after his grandfather George Headley and father Ron Headley while it was the first time happen in international cricket. But unlike his grandfather and father, Dean was a right-arm fast medium bowler. Dean played 15 Tests and 13 ODIs for England during 1996-99.
