The incident took place during the second T20I against South Africa in 2018 when MS Dhoni shared an unbroken 98-run stand with Manish Pandey to help India post a challenging total on the board.

In the first ball of the 19th over, Pandey got a single off Dane Paterson, but Dhoni thought there was another run to be had. He called for a second, but Pandey was not paying heed to the former captain’s call.

And then Dhoni lashed out angrily at Pandey for watching the ball instead of looking at his partner.
