The legendary Sri Lankan off-spinner Muttiah Muralitharan is the most wicket-taker in international cricket history as well as in Test and ODI histories. While he took 1347 international wickets, the off-spinner bagged 800 Test wickets and 534 ODI wickets.

Muralitharan not only dominated on the Sri Lankan soil but also performed impressively in most of the countries. However, his Test performances in India were not much shining.

Muralitharan took 40 wickets in 14 Test innings (11 Test matches) with an unimpressive average of 45.45, including two five-wicket hauls. Surely, it was not that kind of stats which we always wanted to watch from him.
