Since his debut in the Indian Premier League, Lasith Malinga has played for Mumbai Indians. He has played 122 IPL matches for MI and picked 170 wickets. The yorker King bowled the last over for MI against CSK in the finals of IPL 2019. It was the adventurous over as MI won its fourth title by one run.
The T20 captain of Sri Lanka earlier proclaimed that he would take the retirement after playing the T20 World Cup 2020. So, IPL 2020 might be his last appearance in the cash-rich league. However, he said that his skill might allow him to play two more years.
