Dinesh Karthik:
The wicketkeeper-batsman has not featured in the Indian team after the World Cup 2019. During the mega event, he got only three chances, one of them was in the semi-finals where he could not create an impact which India eventually lost against the Black Caps. He has been since then dropped from the team.
However, Karthik is a regular in the domestic circuit, captaining Tamil Nadu. He had led his team to the finals of Vijay Hazare Trophy 2019-20 and Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2019-20 but lost the match to Karnataka in both the competitions.
Currently, India is looking for someone at the finisher position as MS Dhoni has left that place vacant. Thus, Dinesh Karthik can be the perfect option for the job.
