Before the beginning of the much-awaited four-match Test series between the hosts Australia and the visitors India, the Indian Test squad will play a three-day day/night warm-up game against Australia A. On Wednesday (9th December), the Cricket Australia (CA) has announced the warm-up match squad, where four Aussie Test squad members (for India series) have been selected.
In the ongoing tour, while the hosts Australia won the three-match ODI series by 2-1, the visitors Indian team won the three-match T20I series by the same margin. The four-match Test series between them will begin on 17th December while Adelaide Oval (Adelaide) will host the opening match of this series. Moreover, the opening game of this Test series will be the first-ever day/night pink-ball Test between Australia and India.

Before their second day/night pink-ball Test match, which will be also their first-ever away day/night pink-ball Test, the Indian team wants to get proper preparation and that’s why they will play a three-day day/night warm-up game against Australia A at Sydney Cricket Ground (Sydney) starting from 11th December.
Joe Burns, Cameron Green, Sean Abbott and Mitchell Swepson have been selected for Australia A

Among the Australian Test squad for the upcoming India series, opener Joe Burns, all-rounder Cameron Green, in-form pace-bowling all-rounder Sean Abbott and leg-spinner Mitchell Swepson have been selected in Australia A squad for the upcoming warm-up match against India. Former ODI vice-captain and wicket-keeper Alex Carey will lead this Australia A side.

Meanwhile, Cricket Australia has also confirmed that the opening batsman David Warner will miss the opening game of the home Test series against India. During the second ODI against India, Warner suffered a groin injury that forced him to miss out the remaining matches of the limited-overs series against India.
