Recently, the former Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir has decided to donate his 24-month salary as an MP to the PM-CARES Fund to help the country to fight back against the novel COVID-19 or coronavirus. While the Indian Premier League (IPL) team Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) has appreciated Gambhir’s work, the former Indian cricketer liked it despite that he earlier hated to lose against them in the T20 league.
Gautam Gambhir sometimes enters the controversy due to his bold behaviour. However, everyone also agrees that Gambhir is kindhearted who often comes forward to help needy people. The cricketer-turned-politician is now a member of the Lok Sabha since 2019.

While the country was recently remembering India’s winning in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011, one of their heroes Gambhir came out with the donation to fight back against the novel COVID-19 or coronavirus. The MP has decided to donate his two-year salary to the PM-CARES Fund.
To appreciate his work, RCB not only mentioned that donation but also published a news story about it on their official website. The IPL franchise also shared that news on social media.

While the franchise appreciated his work respectfully, Gambhir also came up with his thought. He liked this acknowledgement despite earlier he hated to losing against them.
Gambhir reacted on the Tweet, “@RCBTweets I hated losing to you guys, but today you have won me over by this acknowledgement. Thanks a lot”

Later, the RCB also came with another appreciating reply. The franchise wrote, “Be it for Team India or @KKRiders there wasn’t a time you didn’t #PlayBold. ??”

Gautam Gambhir scored a good amount of runs against RCB

During his IPL career, Gambhir had some frustrating moments against RCB, including on-field vocal fights, especially with Virat Kohli. While Gambhir played 22 matches against RCB, the left-handed batsman scored 713 runs (average 33.95 and strike-rate 134.53) against this side. In his T20 career, it was Gambhir’s second-most runs against a team.
