Javed Miandad
Former Pakistan cricketer Javed Miandad was another legendary cricketer who played during a similar period of Imran Khan. During Miandad’s international career, the Pakistan team achieved great success in international cricket and his batting was one of the main reasons for those successes. He also served as a captain of the Pakistan team in various periods.
Miandad played a very crucial role for his national team to win the 1992 Cricket World Cup as the right-handed batsman was the second most run-scorer in that tournament (437 runs in nine matches).
After playing his last Test in December 1993, Miandad played three more ODIs in that month. In 1994, he retired from cricket. But later he decided to return to the game and only featured in the 1996 Cricket World Cup. However, Miandad disappointed in that tournament and ended his international career. He played 124 Tests and 233 ODIs during his international career.
