India’s Test cricketer Hanuma Vihari took to Twitter to interact with the fans amid lockdown because of coronavirus. The fans took the chance to known the batsman’s favourite captain and cricketer. Vihari, the middle-order batsman, made the debut in the Test team against England in 2018. He had a decent start of an international career and went on register his first century against West Indies in 2019.
Moreover, Vihari last featured with the team against New Zealand at their home this year. The right-hand batsman could not set up himself against Kiwi’s frontline bowlers.

With no Test cricket lined up, Vihari has no match for about a month. Thus, to interact with fans, he took some questions from them. He named Sachin Tendulkar as his all-time favourite cricketer.

Hanuma Vihari selects the best captain
When asked about to name the best captain, he picked former Indian captain MS Dhoni and India’s current captain Virat Kohli.
Earlier, Vihari has also applauded Virat Kohli for his influence in the dressing room.
“He (Kohli) sets an example – on the field and off the field, with the work ethic he has. He is an inspiration in the dressing room, especially for youngsters. We look at him as an idol and someone who we can follow,” Vihari told ESPNCricinfo.

He also picked Rohit Sharma as the best opener in the world right now, as far as One Day Internationals are concerned.

With his past performances, he has turned out to be the crucial player for India in the longest format. He has played nine matches to amass 552 runs at an average of 36.80. So far, his best has come against the West Indies at their home. Thus, West Indies legend Sir Vivian Richards also praised Vihari for his batting style.
During India’s last tour against New Zealand, Vihari could not do much with the bat. He scored only one fifty which was his best score in the two-match series.
