Harbhajan Singh Congratulates Team India For Wonderful Show In Women’s World Cup

The discarded Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh was one of the those who heaped praises on team India for their third consecutive win in the ongoing Women’s World Cup. This time though the win was special as it came against the arch rival Pakistan where India defended a low total of 169 in a 50 over the game, reaping the maximum advantage of the slow pitch, where Indian bowlers shone in the second innings. Here is what Harbhajan Singh wrote in praise for Indian team –

With this win, team India continued its undefeated streak against Pakistan by completing 10 consecutive wins against them. Though it turned out to be an easy contest for the Indian team. In the end, it wouldn’t have been possible if Ekta Bisht hadn’t shone with the ball. She had a tough task to come up and spin the new ball, a task which she did perfectly and got early wickets. In fact, in the post match interview, she said that she likes to bowl with the new ball more. (Read Here: MS Dhoni Takes A Smart Catch)

With the support of other bowlers from the other end, team India bowled out Pakistan on a mere total of 78 to seal a win by a margin of 95 runs, to strengthen chances of qualifying for the next round by winning the third consecutive game of the ICC tournament.

India will look to go one step ahead with a win in their next game against Sri Lanka at County Ground in Derby.
