ToggleSome of the senior Indian cricketers never remain silent if they see a talented cricketer is not getting opportunities continuously, despite showing impressive performances in domestic cricket consistently. Veteran off-spinner Harbhajan Singh is one of them, and once again, he has opened up his frustration after not finding Suryakumar Yadav’s name in the latest national team selections.
The 29-year-old Suryakumar Yadav is not an unknown player in Indian cricket, thanks to the Indian Premier League. Since his return to Mumbai Indians (MI) ahead of 2018 season, Suryakumar Yadav has performed consistently in the IPL as well as in the domestic cricket. In the last two IPL seasons, he scored 512 runs (average 36.57) and 424 runs (average 32.61) respectively.

Suryakumar Yadav has also performed impressively in recent domestic cricket
Suryakumar Yadav has performed extraordinarily in the ongoing domestic season (2019/20). As a top-middle-order batsman, the right-handed batsman has played consistently smashing cricket in the domestic limited-overs tournaments in this season.
In the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2019/20, Yadav scored 226 runs in just four innings with an incredible average of 113.00 and strike-rate of 154.79.

Later, in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2019/20, Yadav finished as the third most run-scorer after scoring 392 runs in 10 innings with an average of 56.00 and strike-rate of 168.96. He hit four half-centuries in this T20 tournament. Even in the previous season of SMAT (2019/20), Yadav finished as the sixth most run-scorer after scoring 360 runs in 10 innings (average 51.42 and strike-rate 145.16).
Also, in the first game of the Ranji Trophy 2019/20, the Mumbai captain Yadav scored a duck and 102 runs against Baroda.
Despite these consistent performances, Suryakumar Yadav hasn’t earned the senior national team call-up yet. Though he has been selected for India A for the one-day games in the forthcoming New Zealand tour, he has missed out the Indian squad for the upcoming home T20I and ODI series against Sri Lanka and Australia respectively.
I keep wondering what’s wrong Suryakumar Yadav has done – Harbhajan Singh
Showing the support on Suryakumar Yadav, Harbhajan Singh has questioned why there are different rules for different players.

“I keep wondering what’s wrong @surya_14kumar hv done ? Apart from scoring runs like others who keep getting picked for Team india india/A india /B why different rules for different players ???”
