Many Indian cricket fans are upset after Sanju Samson has been dropped from the T20I squad without getting a chance. Harbhajan Singh has recently slammed the selection panel for this reason. He is hoping that the new BCCI President Sourav Ganguly will look on this matter seriously.

Recently, the national selectors have announced the T20I and ODI squads for the upcoming home series against Windies. The three-match T20I series will run between 6th and 11th December while the three-match ODI series will run from 15th to 22nd December 2019.

In the last home T20I series against Bangladesh, Sanju Samson earned the call-up due to his recent form in domestic cricket. However, the 25-year-old wicketkeeper-batsman didn’t get an opportunity in the playing XI during that entire three-match T20I series.

As the young wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant is consistently struggling in international cricket, many believed that Sanju Samson would get the opportunity during the forthcoming home T20I series against Windies. However, the selectors have taken a surprising decision by omitting Sanju Samson from the T20I squad, even without giving an opportunity to him.

Like the other cricket fans, the Indian politician Shashi Tharoor has also felt disappointed after Sanju Samson missed out the T20I squad.

I guess they r testing his heart – Harbhajan Singh

Later, the veteran off-spinner Harbhajan Singh reacted on that post of Shashi Tharoor. Harbhajan started it in a sarcastic manner, “I guess they r testing his heart”.

Then, Harbhajan Singh added that the selection panel needed to be changed with the strong people. He is also hopeful that the new BCCI President Sourav Ganguly will take the necessary action on this important matter.

Harbhajan Singh is supporting Sanju Samson for a long time. Sanju Samson scored a double-century in a List A game during the recent domestic tournament (Vijay Hazare Trophy). He has also shown good form in the domestic T20 tournament – Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2019/20.

In international career, Sanju Samson has played only one T20I during the Harare T20I against Zimbabwe on 19th July 2015.
