Twitter Reactions: Harbhajan Singh Congratulates Shoaib Akhtar After Sharing A Picture Of His Second Son
Former Pakistan speedster Shoaib Akhtar was famous for his lethal pace bowling. While he recently shared an adorable picture of his second son, the veteran Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh congratulated him by mentioning his lethal speed. Both nations’ cricket fans have also enjoyed this amazing friendship.
When we talk about the fast bowlers in international cricket history, we can’t keep out the name Shoaib Akhtar. Even many world-class batsmen feared to face his lethal fast bowling. In his cricket career, Akhtar faced many controversies, but his fast bowling always dominated over those big career-destroying controversies.
From 1997 to 2011, Shoaib Akhtar played 46 Tests, 163 ODIs and 15 T20Is where he took 178, 247 and 19 wickets respectively. During his international career, Akhtar was one of the rarest bowlers who could constantly bowl in the pace of 150+ kmph in the fittest moment.
In fact, Shoaib Akhtar reached the 100 mph (over 160 kmph) mark twice in his international career. The first time, Akhtar delivered 161.0 kmph (100.04 mph) in April 2002. Less than a year of that achievement, Akhtar delivered another lethal pace of 161.3 kmph (100.2 mph) during the Group Stage match against England in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2003.
Though India-Pakistan players are always strong rivals on the field, most of them have a very good friendship outside the cricket field. The friendship between the veteran Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh and the former Pakistan speedster Shoaib Akhtar is one of the proper examples.
Both Shoaib Akhtar and Harbhajan Singh were very aggressive cricketers on the cricket field. Many fans can’t forget the hot chatting fight between Akhtar and Harbhajan in an ODI match (during a game in Asia Cup 2010). However, both of them are very friendlier outside the cricket field and they are very good friends for a long time.
