Hardik Pandya Speaks About His Relation With MS Dhoni

Hardik Pandya was the one player who was seen spending time with MS Dhoni after he went under sabbatical. He had also shared the pictures with former Indian captain on his social media accounts. The allrounder has said that he shares an amicable bond with Dhoni.

Dhoni’s image has always been like a reserved player who doesn’t express many emotions. So, when Pandya got in touch with the veteran, he was surprised to see the other side of Dhoni. The wicket-keeper batsman was open to talking on any topic with him. The allrounder also loves to share all the secrets with him, who would joke around with him.

Speaking to Harsha Bhogle, Hardik Pandya said that Dhoni is now like a family member to him. He is a brother to him, whom he can say anything.

“He’s (MS Dhoni) a brother to me. For me, he’s family. I’ve got so close to him in the last few years. I was surprised that he was so open and friendly. I can now say anything to him and he will take it as a joke – that is the relationship I have with him now,” told Harsha Bhogle in a Cricbuzz interview when if MS Dhoni is like a captain to him.

Meanwhile, Dhoni has not played for India after the disheartening World Cup 2019. He made himself unavailable, which has increased the speculations of his retirement. The Chennai Super Kings’ skipper was ready to feature in IPL, but the T20 league got postponed indefinitely.

On the other hand, Hardik Pandya has been out of the action because of his back injury. For which, he went under surgery in the UK. After going under rehabilitation for two-three months in National Cricket Academy, he was set to return in action in the ODI series against South Africa in March, but the series was postponed because of the pandemic
