Mumbai Indians (MI) skipper, Rohit Sharma praises Arjun Tendulkar as he bowled last over against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), while in the game Arjun successfully defended 20 runs in the last over against Abdul Samad and Bhuvneshwar Kumar, as SRH was chasing 193 runs.
Rohit Sharma says Arjun Tendulkar understands what the team wants-
“Arjun has been a part of this team for three years. He understands what he wants to do. He is quite confident as well. He is clear in his plans. He is trying to swing the new ball and bowl yorkers at the death,” said the MI skipper.
While Sr. Tendulkar ( Sachin Tendulkar) was sitting in the dressing room when his son was bowling last over, later he put it down on social media that ‘ Finally a Tendulkar picks up an IPL wicket’ as the 23-year-old picked the wicket of Bhuvneshwar.

Now in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023, the Rohit Sharma-led side has won three games in five matches it played this season and is in sixth position in the points table, with this win MI has won three games in a row after starting the tournament with back to back defeats.

While the five-time champions side misses their star pacers like Jasprit Bumrah and Jofra Archer, as they are unavailable due to injuries, meanwhile youngsters like Arjun gets the chance to play in the star-studded side, after being in the squad for three straight years.
SRH vs MI match recap-
Aiden Markram-led side won the toss and opted to field first, Mumbai batted first and with a quickfire opening partnership between Rohit and Ishan Kishan, the MI skipper was out on 28 (18) in the 5th over after adding 41 runs for the team, while Ishan was dismissed on 38 in 12thover, while later in the innings with Cameron Green 64 (40), Tilak Varma 37 (17) and Tim David 16 (11), visitors posted 192/5 after the end of 20 overs.
Whereas in the chase, England’s star batter, Harry Brook was dismissed in the second over at the 9 run mark, Brook’s partner Mayank Agarwal stood at one end while wickets kept falling from the other end, later SRH’s wicket-keeper showed some resistance and marked 36 (16), Agarwal was dismissed on 15th over, the game started shifting towards MI’s end, as SRH was bowled out for 178 runs in 19.5 overs.
Now, in IPL 2023, MI will take on Punjab Kings (PBKS) for their sixth match of the season at Wankhede Stadium on April 22.
