It was the 55th match of the IPL 2012. The hosts Deccan Chargers decided to bat first and scored 187/4 (20 overs), thanks to the opener Shikhar Dhawan (84) and Cameron White (65). In reply, the Delhi Daredevils skipper and opener Virender Sehwag (4) lost his wicket on the second ball of the innings.

But the other opener David Warner and wicketkeeper-batsman Naman Ojha handled that early situation very well and totally controlled that chasing. While Warner maintained his familiar aggressiveness, Ojha was giving him the proper support by taking the advantages in the loose balls. Their 189 runs partnership for the unbroken second wicket helped the Delhi Daredevils to chase the target easily in 16.4 overs (193/1).

Warner smashed his second IPL century in that game as he remained not out on 109 runs off 54 balls (10 fours and 7 sixes). Meanwhile, Ojha was batting on 64 runs off 46 balls (2 fours and 5 sixes).
