ToggleWhile there are a few cricketers, who enjoy fanbase across the world, there are some cricketers, who receives flak for their activities on the field from the cricketing fanatics across the globe. One of those cricketers is Mushfiqur Rahim, who always been a fighter for Bangladesh but unfortunately, turned out to be the villain for the opposition team fans for his gestures on the field.
Currently, he is in India playing for Bangladesh against Virat Kohli-led side in a 2-match Test match series. During the course of the first match at Holkar Stadium, Indore, Mushfiqur Rahim was at the wrong side of things when he ended up being roasted by the fans of the Indian team near the boundary ropes.
Mushfiqur Rahim performed well for Bangladesh at Indore:
Getting into the details, Mushfiqur Rahim was fielding at the boundary ropes guarding the fence, meanwhile, a section of Indian fans, who tried to have fun by poking at Rahim chanted ”2 Rupay Pepsi, Mushi Bhai Sexy” repeatedly to make him annoyed. However, Mushfiqur Rahim was calm and didn’t give much intention to them, as he never turned back to face them.
Coming to the match, after losing a series in the shorter format of the game, Mominul Haque-led Bangladesh was assumed to give a solid fight for the Indian team in Test format but sadly, they faced a defeat of an innings and 113 runs.
Batting first, Bangladesh had survived to post 150 runs on the board and then leaked 493 runs for the home side, courtesy Mayank Agarwal’s double century. Surprisingly, Virat Kohli has declared innings with overnight score to start Day 3 with the ball, which turned out to be good judgment, as Bangladesh were rolled out for 213 runs in their second innings.
Now, they have many fields to address before directing to the Pink Ball Test, which is to be played at Eden Gardens at Kolkota. Most plausibly, Bangladesh would make a few changes to the side, as they looked pretty ordinary compared to the Indian team at Indore.
