ToggleThe 24-year-old left-arm chinaman Kuldeep Yadav is ready to make a fresh start in the upcoming Cricket World Cup. Recently, he had an awful experience in the entire IPL 2019. However, he is confident of performing better in the forthcoming Cricket World Cup.
The Indian youngster will play his first Cricket World Cup in the upcoming edition. While it is a dream for him, Kuldeep is only focusing on winning this Cricket World Cup.
Kuldeep recently told AajTak, “It is such a big opportunity, just like a dream for me. I want to perform really well in the World Cup. That is my main aim. I have been training hard for it. My full focus is on winning the cup for India.”
I was bowling well but still not getting wickets – Kuldeep Yadav
Ahead of the upcoming Cricket World Cup, Kuldeep Yadav massively failed in the IPL 2019. The Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) cricketer took only four wickets in nine matches in the recently concluded IPL season. Due to his poor form, the KKR team management dropped him in the last five games.
However, Kuldeep claimed that he was bowling well but failed to take wickets. He also added that the Eden Gardens pitch was very good for the batsmen, so he didn’t get much turn this season.

Kuldeep said about his poor form in IPL 2019, “I was bowling well but still not getting wickets. I really don’t know why I was failing to get wickets despite bowling well. The Eden Gardens pitch was also very good for batting.. the ball wasn’t turning much there. If you gave a little bit of flight, it was easy for the batsman to take the ball into his radar and smash it out of the park. I think maybe I need to improve my bowling more if I have to play on such pitches.”
I am fully ready for the World Cup – Kuldeep Yadav
From the middle of the IPL, Kuldeep hasn’t played a professional match yet. He feels that it is a good break for him to make a fresh start in the upcoming Cricket World Cup. The left-arm chinaman is fully ready to represent his national side in the forthcoming Cricket World Cup.

Kuldeep said “I got a good break during the IPL. I rested well and have recovered fully. I have worked on my bowling extensively in the last 10 days.
He further added, “I am enjoying my rhythm and some errors that have been there in my basics have been cleared too. I am bowling well right now. Recovery has been full in a way and I am fully ready for the World Cup.”
Spinners will get a huge advantage in the upcoming Cricket World Cup – Kuldeep Yadav
England and Wales will host the 2019 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup from 30th May to 14th July. A total of top ten teams are ready to participate in this competition.
Kuldeep Yadav feels that his recent IPL form will not affect his upcoming Cricket World Cup journey. Apart from the different formats, Kuldeep also pointed out the different conditions that will create a different result for him. The no.7-ranked ODI bowler Kuldeep is confident of returning to the form in the upcoming tournament.
He said, “It is a different format, a 50-over game is a lot different to a T20. The conditions are a lot different too. The wickets there will be a lot faster, the ball will spin too when the temperature will be high and we will get dry pitches. Spinners will get a huge advantage and that remains my focus.”
The two-time World Cup winners India will begin their journey in the new Cricket World Cup on 5th June. In the first match of this tournament, India will play against South Africa at Southampton.
Ahead of their Cricket World Cup campaign, India will play two warm-up matches in England. India will face New Zealand (25th May) and Bangladesh (28th May) in the pre-World Cup warm-up matches.
