During India’s final round-robin stage game in the ongoing Cricket World Cup, Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah completed his 100th ODI wicket. While he achieved this milestone in just 57 ODIs, he became the second fastest Indian bowler to take 100 ODI wickets.
On Saturday (6th July), India is playing against Sri Lanka at Leeds which is also their last round-robin stage match of the ongoing 2019 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup. Ahead of this match, the 25-year-old right-arm pacer Jasprit Bumrah was one wicket away to complete his 100 ODI wickets.
During his second over of this match, Bumrah dismissed the Sri Lankan skipper Dimuth Karunaratne (10) and completed his 100 ODI wickets. The 31-year-old Sri Lankan opener was caught behind to the Indian wicketkeeper MS Dhoni.

Jasprit Bumrah is only behind of Mohammed Shami
Bumrah completed his 100 ODI wickets in 57 ODI matches. Among the Indian bowlers, only another pacer Mohammed Shami achieved this feat faster than Bumrah. In last January, Shami completed his 100 ODI wickets in 56 ODIs. While Bumrah is now the second fastest Indian bowler to complete 100 ODI wickets, the left-arm pacers Irfan Pathan and Zaheer Khan are in the next two positions in this list. Irfan Pathan reached this milestone in 59 ODIs while Zaheer Khan reached this milestone in 65 ODIs.

On the other hand, Jasprit Bumrah is now the ninth-fastest overall bowler to complete the 100 ODI wickets. Mohammed Shami is in the joint seventh position in this list.
Just one day ago, Bangladesh left-arm pacer Mustafizur Rahman completed his 100 ODI wickets in 54 ODIs. He became the fastest Bangladesh bowler and joint fourth fastest bowler to complete 100 ODI wickets.

After dismissing the Sri Lankan captain Dimuth Karunaratne, Bumrah also completed his 200 international wickets. Bumrah completed this feat in 109 international matches and 119 international innings. He is the 13th Indian pacer and 21st Indian bowler to take at least 200 international wickets.
