Earlier, we have experienced less or more than ten participating teams in a Cricket World Cup. However, it will be the first time when we will see the exact ten participating teams in the Cricket World Cup.

From 1975 to 1987, in all these first four editions of the Cricket World Cup (1975, 1979, 1983 and 1987), we experienced eight participating teams.

In 1992 Cricket World Cup, nine teams participated. Meanwhile, 12 teams participated in the next two Cricket World Cups (1996 and 1999).

In 2003 ICC Cricket World Cup, a total of 14 teams participated to win that crown. During the 2007 ICC Cricket World Cup, the participation number increased to 16. However, in the next two Cricket World Cups, ICC organised the 14-member tournaments.

So, the 2019 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup will be the first time when we can see the exact ten members’ Cricket World Cup.
