The first time a Cricket World Cup will run without an associate team

The 2019 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup will be the first time when an Associate Member or non Full Member will not feature in the Cricket World Cup.
During the inaugural Cricket World Cup edition (1975), Sri Lanka and East Africa featured as the non Full Member sides.
In 1979, Sri Lanka and Canada qualified as the Associate members. Zimbabwe featured in the 1983 Cricket World Cup as the only Associate member. The 1987 Cricket World Cup had an exact similar picture to the 1983 Cricket World Cup.
In 1992 Cricket World Cup, Zimbabwe once again featured as the lone associate member.
Kenya, Netherlands and UAE were the associate members in the 1996 Cricket World Cup. Meanwhile, the three associate teams for the 1999 Cricket World Cup were Bangladesh, Kenya and Scotland.
The 2003 ICC Cricket World Cup saw four associate members and those were Kenya, Canada, Namibia and Netherlands. In the next CWC edition (2007), a total of six associate members featured which were Bermuda, Canada, Kenya, Ireland, Netherlands and Scotland.
There were four associate members in the 2011 and 2015 ICC Cricket World Cups. In the 2011 edition, Canada, Ireland, Kenya and Netherlands played as the associate members. Meanwhile, in the previous edition, the associate teams were Ireland, Afghanistan, Scotland and UAE.
First time at least one Full member hasn’t qualified for the Cricket World Cup

Zimbabwe and Ireland, these two Full Members have failed to qualify for the upcoming ten-team Cricket World Cup tournament. It will be the first time when at least one Full Member has missed the Cricket World Cup.
