Sri Lankan wicketkeeper-batsman Kusal Perera hasn’t played much as a wicketkeeper-batsman. Out of his 88 ODIs, only nine times he has played as a wicketkeeper-batsman. However, in the upcoming Cricket World Cup, he is likely to take the wicketkeeper-batsman role for Sri Lanka.

After playing 88 ODIs, Perera has scored 2,283 runs with an average of 29.26. The left-handed batsman has hit four centuries and 11 half-centuries in his ODI career. His best ODI score is 135 runs. In recent times, Perera has impressed with his impressive batting performances.

On the other hand, he has made 34 dismissals in ODI career (32 catches and 2 stumpings).

While he made his ODI debut in January 2013, he has played only two matches in the previous Cricket World Cup (2015).
