Meanwhile, the men in blues recently lifted the Asia Cup without their regular skipper Virat Kohli. Rohit Sharma led the brilliantly which portrays the depth in their line-up. Although they had a tough time in the final against Bangladesh, held nerves to seal the game.
Speaking on the same, Wasim Akram credited Indian Premier League for being the supply line. He also added that India proved to be ahead of everyone as they provide good exposure to their players.
“India proved to be well ahead of everyone,” former Pakistan skipper Wasim Akram told AFP. “Their exposure is greater, they have financial benefits and the money invested in their system like the Indian Premier League is bearing fruits,” he added.

Pakistan will bounce back
Sarfraz Ahmed & Co had a horrific time in the UAE bowing out of the tournament losing against Bangladesh. Furthermore, they suffered two humiliating losses against India in the Asia Cup.
However, Wasim Akram feels Pakistan are very much capable of bouncing back despite agreeing to it that they need to make significant improvements in all the departments. Akram also noted Bangladesh and Afghanistan are becoming a team to reckon with shortly.
“It’s hard to predict eight months in advance but I am sure Pakistan will bounce back. They have some serious work to do in both bowling and batting. Bangladesh have an inspirational captain in Mashrafe Mortaza and Afghanistan is becoming a dangerous team,” he concluded.
