Sri Lankan cricketer Mahela Jayawardene hit a brilliant century during the 2011 CWC final against India. Coming to bat at the no.4 position, Jayawardene remained not out on 103 runs off just 88 balls. The right-handed batsman hit 13 fours in that innings. His impressive knock helped Sri Lanka to score 274/6 (50 overs) in the first innings.

However, that century went in vain as India won that match by six wickets with ten balls remaining.
