Yashasvi Jaiswal, Ravi Bishnoi Included In Akbar Ali-led ICC U19 World Cup Team

In South Africa, Bangladesh U19 team created history after they won their first-ever ICC U19 Cricket World Cup 2020 title against India in the thrilling final at Potchefstroom. The three-week-long competition saw the talent of the youngsters in the tournament. Well, seeing the performance of young-guns, the International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the official Playing XI of the tournament.
Yashasvi Jaiswal, Ravi Bishnoi, and Kartik Tyagi included in the team:
There is no doubt about the position of Yashasvi Jaiswal in the team. The Indian opener has scored 400 runs in the six innings at an average of 133. He has always given a good start to the team to led them to victory in most of the matches.
The leg spinner Ravi Bishnoi is the highest wicket-taker in the tournament. In six matches, he has scalped 17 wickets with an incredible average of 10.64. Also, he has picked three four-wicket hauls in the tournament among which one came in the finals against Bangladesh.
Karti Tyagi, the young pacer, has troubled batsmen with variation and swing throughout the tournament. He took 11 wickets at an average of 13.90 in the tournament.
Bangladesh skipper Akbar Ali to lead the team:
Akbar Ali has played a pivotal role in taking forward his team to finals. The wicketkeeper-batsman gave the maiden title to his country. He showed the class behind the stumps as well.
Besides Ali, Bangladesh players Shahadat Hossain and Mahmudul Hasan Joy are also listed in the team. Joy scored a century against New Zealand to pave the way for his team in the grand finale. While Hossain has remained not out for three times in the tournament.
Also, Nyeem Young and Jayden Seales are the two West Indies players who earned the place. The allrounder Young is the first West Indies to take a five-for and make a half-century in a U19 match.
While Afghanistan cricketer Ibrahim Zadran is the partner of Yashasvi Jaiswal to open the innings. He notched 240 runs in five innings at an average of 60–to help his country to a seventh-place finish. Ibrahim’s teammate Shafiqullah Ghafari has also made it to the list.
However, Ravindu Rasantha is the only Sri Lankan cricketer to earn a place in the team. Rasantha scored 286 runs from six innings.
Canadian player Akhil Kumar sealed the place as twelfth man. He took 16 wickets at an average of 15.37.
