Australia’s batting innings:
The Men in Yellow got off to a horrid start as Jake Fraser-McGurk was run-out on the first ball of the innings. Kartik Tyagi then struck twice more in the first over to leave Australia reeling at 4-3.

Tyagi plumbed Mackenzie Harvey in front of the wickets but the Australian captain was unlucky with the decision. However, Lachlan Hearne was bowled by a brilliant inswinging yorker by Tyagi. The right-arm pacer struck once again to sent back Olivier Davies to leave Australia tottering at 17-3.
The Australian opener Sam Fanning was able to hold one end as he scored 75 runs and added 81 runs with Liam Scott, the concussion substitute all-rounder. However, they could not get Australia all the way as Tyagi took four wickets whereas Akash Sing took three scalps.

India’s batting innings:
India also didn’t get off to a great start as they lost three early wickets and were struggling at 54-3. However, Yashasvi Jaiswal showed the resistance and scored a gutsy knock of 62 runs. But he was bowled by Tanveer Sangha when he was looking good.

India desperately needed finishing touches as their run rate was hovering around four. Atharva Ankolekar provided that finishing act as he blasted 55 off 54 balls to take India to 233 runs. Ravi Bishnoi also provided support as he scored 30 runs.
India was in a spot of bother.
Yashasvi Jaiswal’s 62, Atharva Ankolekar's unbeaten 55 guide India U19 to 233/9 against Australia U19 in the #U19CWC quarterfinals.
