The injury to Jason Roy was one of the toughest parts to handle for the England Cricket Team, as he is in ominous form for his country. The flamboyant batsman picked up a hamstring injury during the game against Windies, which saw him staying out from the playing XI for at least 10 days.
The latest scans prove that the English opener has got a Hamstring tear. It made him ruled out for the next couple of games, which are against Afghanistan and Sri Lanka on Tuesday and Friday of this week respectively.
At any cost, Jason Roy wants to be back for the game against their arch-rivals Australia. In the meantime, he also quoted that Hamstring injuries are not the quickest to heal down.

It could be way worse – Jason Roy
The English opening batsman expressed that he is frustrated to miss out games for England, especially, when he is such a form. However, he understands that they are a part and parcel of the game.
“I did it in the West Indies and it was a lot worse,” Roy told Sky Sports. “It could be way worse — the scan told me it’s minimum 10 days. We’ve got to assess it as we go along. It’s a huge understatement being frustrated, but I’ve got to keep smiling,” Jason Roy said.

“We’re targeting Australia but we’ll see how this week goes. If this week goes to plan, then Australia. If not, then who knows. Hamstrings are such a grey area,” the swashbuckling opening batsman quoted.
England has James Vince as a back-up opener in their squad and will bank on the 28-year-old to cement his credentials in ODI cricket. However, he failed to deliver the goods against the Afghanistan team at Old Trafford.
If Jason Roy fails to fit in time, the England team have no choice rather than bringing a new player into the mix. It could be Joe Denly or they might opt a regular opening batsman for that role.
