Meanwhile, James Vince also broke into the World Cup squad as Alex Hales was removed from the squad after testing positive to a recreational drug for the 2nd time in a few months.
As Jofra Archer prepares for the World Cup, he has expressed his desire to dismiss India skipper Virat Kohli. He is definitely the greatest batsman of the modern generation. “I would quite like to get Virat out,” Jofra Archer was quoted as saying by Sky Sports. “I wasn’t able to get him in the IPL. And probably Chris Gayle again but I want to have an impact in whatever games I do play in and take as many wickets as possible.”
The Men in Blue and the hosts England will lock horns in a huge clash on 30th June in Edgbaston. Archer might have sent a formal warning to Virat, he is also well aware of the fact that the Indian skipper is the greatest modern day batsman. Meanwhile, Jofra Archer also made the World Cup squad on the basis of his consistent performance in T20 Leagues all across the globe. He can also clock more than 140 km/hr on a consistent basis.
Meanwhile, he further added that Jos Buttler, his English teammate is the toughest batsman he has ever bowled to. “He is a 360 cricketer,” Archer said. “He can hit you straight down the ground or over the keepers head. I don’t think anywhere is safe with him.”
