The Windies star batsman Kieron Pollard, who recently plied his trade for Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League 2019 has been included in the National team for the upcoming ICC World Cup 2019. The flamboyant batsman will join the team that travels England for the major event.
The hard-hitting batsman has been brilliant for the team whenever he did Windies Jersey. He got the special skills to change the complexion of the game with ease with his blistering striking. Apart from his batting, Pollard can be a useful bowler and also a brilliant fielder for the team.
Kieron Pollard is in a decent form:
As per the Guardian Media, it is learnt that the selection panel headed by Jamaican Robert Haynes decided that the 32-year-old Pollard should be included. He feels that Windies need experience to the youthful team at this major event.

And also, earlier, Andre Russell and Chris Gayle were included in the provisional West Indies World Cup squad. They were added to the 15-member squad, which includes nine players, who will be making their first appearance in the global showpiece event.
However, the addition of Kieron Pollard will help them further, as he got enough experience under his belt. And also, he can be helpful for Jason Holder at times and a brilliant cricketer, who can take the game away from the opposition. He will be accompanied by the match-winners Chris Gayle and Andre Russell.
Gayle will be making a record fifth World Cup appearance for West Indies. He needs just 253 runs to overtake fellow left-hander Brian Lara and become the leading batsman for the Caribbean side in One-day Internationals.

Will Sunil Narine get into the lineup?
Further, as per Guardian Media, it is learnt that another Trinidad player is in the line to make his presence for the ICC World Cup 2019. However, his availability will be subject to fitness.
