ICC World Cup 2019: Ricky Ponting Analysis Indian Bowling Attack, Feels Bhuvneshwar Kumar Isn’t A Threat

After a fine time in the cricket history, the Indian National Cricket Team is being praised for the quality fast bowling. Every department in the bowling section has been fantastic with the quality players covering the bases. Meanwhile, the former Australian Ricky Ponting analysis the Indian bowling attack and feels that Bhuvneshwar Kumar can be manageable compared to the rest.

In the game against South Africa, the Indian team showed what they are capable of doing. Especially, the bowling section was on a song troubling Proteas all the time. Jasprit Bumrah and Bhuvneshwar Kumar made breathing hard for the South African batsmen with their exceptional line and lengths.

Meanwhile, the key member of the Australian coaching panel designs a plan for the Australian batsmen to tackle the Indian bowling. He believes that the Indian bowlers would come hard against them just like they did against South Africans.

Jasprit Bumrah will mix it up – Ricky Ponting

Analysing each bowler, he quoted that Jasprit Bumrah is a big gun, who can make it tough for the batsman. And then, he called Bhuvneshwar Kumar a less worry, as he won’t trouble much with the pace or bouncers. Ricky Ponting wants the team to be wary of Hardik Pandya, who can rush the batsman with pace.

“Bumrah we know is a very good new ball bowler and I’m sure he’ll mix it up and bowl some short stuff and some full stuff,” said Ponting. “Bhuvneshwar will probably not worry you too much with his pace or his bouncers.”

Hardik Pandya can rush you a little:

Further, he added that the Indian team would look after the unorthodox Kedar Jadhav for the wickets in the middle overs alongside the Wrist spinner. Ricky Ponting also highlighted the probability of bringing Mohammed Shami into the mix by resting Kuldeep Yadav.

”Hardik can maybe rush you a little bit, so maybe they have a decision to make on the overall makeup of their side. “Do they maybe go with only the one spinner and use (off-spinning allrounder) Kedhar Jadav as a second spinner and play another fast bowler? However, we’ll worry about that in the next couple of days and make sure all the boys are prepared,” he said to Cricket.com.au.

Well, it would be interesting to see how the Indian bowling attack would approach the game against Australian lineup that got blistering batsmen. The match is scheduled to be played on June 9th.
