ToggleTeam India bowling coach Paras Mhambrey has lavished praise on Arshdeep Singh as the latter continues to impress with his bowling displays. The left-arm pacer has made a stunning start to life in international cricket after making his debut in England last month.
On his debut, he picked up 2 wickets while giving away just 18 runs. He also bowled a maiden over during the powerplay. His impressive performances have continued in the ongoing T20I series against West Indies too. In two games, he picked up three wickets while maintaining an economy-rate of just over 6. His ability to bowl well in death overs was once again on display during the low-scoring second T20I in St Kitts.

With West Indies needing 31 to win off the last four overs in St Kitts, Arshdeep gave away four and six runs respectively in the 17th and 19th overs. Unfortunately for India, Avesh Khan could not defend 10 runs in the final over as West Indies beat India by 5 wickets to draw level in the series.
Paras Mhambrey on Arshdeep Singh:
Following Arshdeep Singh’s stunning display in the second T20I, Mhambrey was all praise for the young pacer. Mhambrey stated that he has been tracking Arshdeep Singh for a long time now and praised him for his ability to deliver under pressure. The statement from Mhambrey just few days ahead of Asia Cup 2022 is huge as it has made it clear that the youngster has managed to impress the team-management.
“I’ve been watching him for a long time now, since the IPL as well. Something that really stood out for me was his ability to absorb pressure. If you look at it, he bowls the hard overs, the overs in the powerplay and also at the death. In terms of the composure he has shown, I’m very happy, especially the way he turned up in the last game as well.
“This game, the 17th over he bowled, showed a lot about the ability that he has. I’m very happy to see him deliver for the team,” he said.
